Complete answer: The unicellular organisms are the single-celled organism which includes bacteria, protozoa, algae, and unicellular fungi. The most commonly known unicellular species are Amoeba and diatoms. The unicellular organisms carry out all their life processes through a single cell. they have the most simple mechanism present. The unicellular organisms can be found in most of the habitats which can range from harsh hot regions to harsh cold regions. They reproduce by asexual means of reproduction which involves budding, binary fission, etc. The unicellular organisms can be present under the prokaryotes as well as eukaryotes. They have a special projection present on them which help them in movement. They take in and eject out nutrients and waste material by the process of diffusion. They also have their own genetic material present in them. They have cell organelles present which help them in carrying out their life processes. They respire aerobically or anaerobically based on the habitat they live in. they don’t have any special respiratory organs or systems present in them.

Note: The unicellular organisms are the single-celled organism which doesn’t have a complex organ or tissue present for their survival. They can be found in a diverse range of habitats. They respire and digest their food by the process of diffusion and don’t have a special system for these processes.
