Hint: Solution is defined as a homogeneous mixture of two or more components in which the particle size is smaller than 1 nm.
Solute is defined as a minor component in a solution.
Solvent is defined as a major component in a solution or the component which is able to dissolve other substances.
Dissolve is a process where a solute in any phase dissolves in a solvent to form a solution
Insoluble is defined as substance which cannot be dissolved in solvent to form a solution
The solid which is collected on filter screen or filter paper is called residue
The clear liquid obtained after passing through filter paper or filter screen is called filtrate.
Complete step by step answer:
Tea can be prepared by following methods
1.Take 150 mL of water as solvent and boil it for some time.
2.Now add solute which is 2 teaspoon of sugar, one teaspoon of tea leaves and half of water i.e 75mL of milk.
3.Keep boiling for a few more minutes and since sugar is soluble, it will dissolve completely.
Now insoluble tea leaves will remain in the solution So, filter out residue. Filtrate can be collected in a cup.
Note:
Solute is soluble up to only a limit called saturation point, after saturation point either solute stops dissolving or rise in temperature is required.
