Hint: Respiration is a metabolic pathway that breaks down glucose and produces ATP (energy currency).
Step by step answer:The respiroscope is fixed to vertically seeds and is placed in the bulb of the respiroscope plugged with cotton at the base the vertical tube of the inverted flask or the respiroscope is dipped just below the surface of the water in the beaker. A few molecules of a substance that can absorb carbon dioxide are introduced in the bent portion of the long neck of the round bottom flask and kept in position with loosely held cotton wool. Care should be taken that respiratory material and the molecules that absorb carbon dioxide do not come in contact.
The apparatus is allowed to stand for a few hours when it is seen that water has risen in the vertical tube of the apparatus providing the production of a partial vacuum. Due to the respiration of germinating seeds, CO2 has been released which is at once absorbed by the molecule which is used to absorb carbon dioxide. Thus the partial vacuum produced by the absorption of O2 by respiratory material could not be filled up by the released CO2.

Anaerobic respiration: It is a type of respiration in which oxygen is not required. Less energy is produced in Anaerobic respiration. Anaerobic respiration produces about 2 molecules of ATP.
Aerobic respiration: It is a type of respiration in which oxygen is required. More energy is produced in aerobic respiration. Aerobic respiration produces about 38 molecules of ATP. ATP is the energy currency of a cell.
