STD:- STD Stands for Sexually Transmitted Disease. STDs are those diseases which are transmitted through sexual intercourse with infected persons are collectively termed as STDs. Some sexually transmitted diseases are syphilis, Gonorrhoea, AIDS, hepatitis B, genital herpes, genital warts, chlamydiosis and trichomoniasis. These diseases are caused by bacteria, viruses, chlamydiae, protozoa, nematodes, etc.
