Hint: Basically a gravitational force is a force that attracts any object with mass. According to newton’s, every particle in the universe attracts every other particle with a force whose magnitude is directly proportional to the product of their masses,\[F \propto {m_1}{m_2}\] and
inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them, \[F \propto \dfrac{1}{{{r^2}}}\].
When we combine these two equations, we will get,\[F \propto \dfrac{{{m_1}{m_2}}}{{{r^2}}}\] and when we remove proportionality sign then we get a constant G, that is gravitational constant and F is gravitational force.
Complete step by step answer: Following are the properties of the gravitational force-
(1)It is a long range force, which exists between the two particles and does not depend on the medium which separates them.
(2) It obeys the inverse square law. As we know that force is inversely proportional to the square of distance between them.
(3)Gravitational force always acts as a force of attraction.
(4)It is the weakest force amongst all fundamental forces.
(5)Gravitational force acts even when the two objects are not in touch.
(6)Gravitational force is a central force. It means it always acts from centre to centre of bodies.
(7)Gravitational force is a conservative force.
(8)The graviton is a field particle of gravitational force.
Note: scientists have discovered four fundamental forces that affect all matter in this universe. These are gravitational force, electromagnetic force, strong interaction and weak interaction
