Hint: In this question, try to make the denominator $100$ with the help of multiplication or division, So that it will be easy to convert the fractional number into a decimal number.
Complete answer:
Given $\dfrac{6}{4}$ in fractional form, we have to convert it in decimal form
In order to do this conversion of fractional form to decimal we should try to make the denominator part $100$ with the help of multiplication or division.
So we have to make $4$ which is the denominator part in the given question, $100$.
So let us consider a number $x$, by which we will convert $4$ to $100$ by the application of multiplication.
Which means
$ \Rightarrow 4 \times x = 100$
Now finding the value of $x$, so that we can change the denominator into hundred.
$
\Rightarrow x = \dfrac{{100}}{4} \\
\Rightarrow x = 25 \\
$
Now we got the value of $x$ which is equal to $25$, so let us multiply both numerator and denominator part by $25$, so that we can get $100$ as the denominator.
$
= \dfrac{6}{4} \\
= \dfrac{{6 \times 25}}{{4 \times 25}} \\
= \dfrac{{150}}{{100}} \\
$
So we got it as $\dfrac{{150}}{{100}}$ , now we know that if denominator contains $100$ then we have to put the decimal after two digits from the left, that is
$ = 1.50$
$\therefore 1.50$ is the required decimal form of the fractional number $\dfrac{6}{4}$
Note: When there comes $10$ or $1000$ in the denominator part after your calculation then just simply do the put the decimal one or three digit respectively from the left. Some-times, there will be difficulty in converting the denominator part to $10$ or $100$ or $1000$. Then we have to use the other method to convert fraction into decimal, in which the simplest one is by just doing a simple division between numerator and denominator, i.e. just divide numerator by denominator.
