Hint
The transmission of electricity to different places to the consumers is achieved from electric power plants through widespread network lines.

Complete step by step answer
Problems faced when electrical power is transmitted to different places are as follows:
(i) Power loss: During the electrical transmission over long distances, there is an occurrence of power loss that has been observed. This occurs because of the copper loss in the transformers. Copper losses in transformers occur from the Joule heating effect of current in which electric current passing through primary and secondary windings of transformers generates thermal energy in the form of heat. Some other losses in addition to power loss are dielectric loss and conductance loss in the transmission cables.
(ii)Voltage drop: Voltage drop i.e. the drop in the electric potential during the flow of electric current in the transmission line occurs while transmitting electrical power to different places over a wide range. This occurs due to the voltage drop due to inductive reactance in the inductors used in the transmission line.

Note
Alternating current is preferred for the transmission of electric power. This is done to reduce the loss of energy during transmission. However, direct current is preferred in case of power transmission for very stretched distances.
