The Mughal and Sikh were forced to meet them outside Sirhind and they met in a village named Chappar Chiri. The Mughals were armed with weapons, well-equipped cavalry and large infantry whereas the Sikhs had cavalry and infantry but no artillery. In the battle, Sikhs gave a humiliating blow to the Mughal Empire. Wazir Khan (Sirhind) was killed in the battle. The Sikhs established their first Raj in Punjab and, he established his capital at Lohgarh the place is situated in Haryana. Sirhind was the unfortunate witness to the martyrdom of the two younger Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh at the hands of its Governor Wazir Khan, who had vowed to finish the Sikhs based on after the battle of Anandpur Sahib in \[1704\]. Sahebzadas Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh were just nine and six years old correspondingly, but stood rigid to their faith like a rock.
In\[1708\], Guru Gobind Singh too was killed by assassins thought to have been sent by the same personWazir Khan.
