                                                       A STORMY NIGHT

I was alone in the apartment, as my parents were out of town. They phoned me and told me that I was going to have to sleep alone, as they were running a little late. They would get there in the morning. I was scared at first, but then I went to bed.
I was almost falling asleep when it started raining very hard. Then, I got woken up due to the thunder. I was wide awake then. I kept staring at the window as I thought I saw something there. It flashed for a second and it looked like a monster! I was terrified. I could not stay in bed any longer. Even though it was late, I had to do something to distract myself. So, I got up and switched on all the lights. Then, I went into the living room and watched television. My eyes were getting very heavy after a few hours, and then I went to sleep on the sofa with the lights on.
I woke up the next morning and told my parents everything. They were dumb shocked and decided in the future not to leave me alone at home during the night.
