Hint:Gram Sabha is also known as Gram Panchayat which is defined as the lowest level panchayati raj made for the purpose of governing the local system in any small town or village level.
The Gram Sabha got its legal authority in the 73rd Constitutional Amendment made in the year 1993.
The head or the chairman of Panchayat is known as a Sarpanch.

Gram Sabha term is defined in the Article 243 (b) in the Constitution of India which is considered the largest and the main body of the Panchayati Raj. The eligibility criteria involves individuals above the age of 18 years of age residing in a village and they have been nominated in the Panchayat at village level.

The Gram Sabha is organized by the Secretary of Panchayat after getting approval from the Sarpanch. The meeting takes place with a minimum involvement of 50 persons or 10% of the total members and they have to be given a notice of the meeting. The request for the meeting in writing is given to the Sarpanch before 5 days of the meeting in the office hours. If the Sarpanch does not hold the meeting on the date organized or requested then the rest of the members will hold among themselves.

Note:Gram Sabha is a recognized permanent body.
There is a provision of meeting at least two to four times in a year and it should be held anytime after sunrise and sunset.
