Preparation of soil: The first step in growing a crop is to prepare the soil. It is beneficial to turn and loosen the soil for the roots to penetrate deeply into it. The loosening of the soil encourages the growth of a variety of soil microbes, earthworms, and other beneficial organisms that enrich the soil with humus and other nutrients. Plowing is the process of turning and loosening. This is done with the help of a plow, a hoe, and cultivators.
Sowing: Sowing is the process of planting seeds in the ground to grow crops. For sowing, we must use high-quality seeds. Sowing is done by hand with the help of mechanical equipment such as Seed Drill. Few plants, such as rice, are grown in a separate area before being transplanted into the fields.
Weeding: Other undesirable plants may grow alongside the crop in a field. Weeds are the name for these unwelcome plants. Weeds are removed in a variety of ways by farmers.
