Hint: A diary is a personal document in which individual records his or her everyday emotions, thoughts, and sentiments. You are free to write about whatever you choose, without fear of being judged or criticised by others. It should be a safe and unrestricted extension of your thoughts. A journal may be anything you want it to be, and it should be a place where you can be completely honest.

Dear Diary,
I received the finest birthday surprise of my life last week. My mother had told me that because we wouldn't be able to go out because of the lockdown, we would be spending our birthday at home. However, this was not the case. On my birthday, I awoke to see the entire home adorned. This, according to Dad, was done so that I would be happy at home. When I heard the doorbell, I was eating breakfast and playing with the toys that my parents had given me. Mum instructed me to get ready since several relatives had arrived to wish me well.
I went into my room to change, and when I returned to the living room, I saw that all of my friends had gathered. I was overjoyed to see each and every one of them. It was the biggest shock of my life. Everyone had given me gifts, which were displayed on the table. Following that, we cut the cake and everyone sang "Happy Birthday." This was followed by lunch and some delicious treats made by Mom.
I'll write to you shortly to let you know about some of the amazing things I've received. Bye for now.
Samira
Note:
i) Because a journal entry is a personal record, it should express the writer's feelings and reflections. To do so, make sure you write about the writer's feelings and ideas. To portray emotions, use suitable adjectives and adverbs.
ii) Because a diary entry is a record in which we write about occurrences from our own point of view, we employ first-person narration. In first-person narrative, we employ pronouns like "I" or "we."
