There has been very heavy rain in your city/town. You went to school but found that it was closed because of heavy rain.Describe the sights and sounds near the school and narrate how you finally reached home and spent the rest of the day.

It was just another morning in bhopal during the normal rainy season. It was dull and cloudy with a bit of drizzle, but it all looked calm. Till around 7 am, I lazed around and then got out of bed to get ready for school. When I was about to leave home at around 8 am, I noticed it had been raining heavily for quite some time now. I saw trees swaying as I looked out of the kitchen window and the drains were overflowing. Should I go to school? But then, because it was internal assignment day, I had to go.
I saw a major traffic jam at the intersection as I walked towards the main street. As it was now raining terribly, I could hardly see anything. I waited for the signal to reveal the sign of the walk, preventing my raincoat cap from pulling off, constantly wiping my spectacles. I wish I could see clearly without my eyeglasses on days like these. It was only a ten-minute walk to my school, but a minute later, the rain got worse. By now, under my raincoat, my school uniform was all soaked and I had started to feel cold. Somehow I reached school only to see that it's closed today because of heavy rain. School watchman made me wait in the lobby area as they called my dad to pick me up.
I was waiting there and observing how few students were already returning on their own, some were getting picked up by their parents. There was a heavy sound of rain and thunder echoing in school .
I was shivering because of my drenched cloth and was praying that my dad come soon and take me home. I was just thinking about what I will do after reaching home and suddenly I heard my name being called. I looked up and saw my dad waving at me , I smiled and ran towards him and hugged him. He said that he was sorry for being late as there was a huge traffic jam. I nodded and said it was okay and let's go home. He smiled and opened up the umbrella, then picked my bag and walked towards the car . We sat in the car and drove towards home while playing old sufi songs and enjoying weather.
We reached home and mom scolded me after seeing me in drenched clothes.she instantly removed them and cleaned me up .she later gave me hot pakora and tea . I played games with my friends and watched cartoons the whole day.
After learning that my school was closed, I was so relieved. I wish it would rain every day so that I could sit with my parents at home.
