Complete step by step answer:

“Money is the root of all evil” we have all heard this saying and repeated it. That is what we have learnt all our lives and somehow made it a part of our belief system. Yet, what is one of our most basic needs? Financial security. We study and work and invest, for what? So, we are insured for times when we cannot earn on our own. These times of a grave pandemic showed us, just how fortunate those of us were, whose biggest worries were being home-ridden or bored and not when and if they’ll have enough money to buy food. When people say, “in the chase for money, people forget to live”, that’s just picking a certain group of people who have their priorities wrong and blame it on an inanimate object. It’s like saying nuclear fusion is evil simply because some people use it as a weapon of destruction, while ignoring the fact that it can be a great way of providing safe and clean energy to the future generations. An object is as good as the way its consumer chooses to use it. Having enough money, having financial security can help an individual to finally realize their dreams and not be stuck in jobs that they probably don’t like. Having financial security means you get to live your life the way you want to, enjoying the company of your loved ones, doing things that make you truly happy. Having financial security means you don’t have to stress about it which helps your mental health as well. In times of health crises, having financial security means finding a good medical facility, treatment and doctor are the primary concerns. People don’t also have to worry about whether or not they would be able to have their loved ones treated. Their focus would be the health of the patient only.

If we focus on the self-created negatives of a certain entity, that’s all it would become, we will lose sight of all the good it does. “There are enough resources for everyone’s need, but not for anybody’s greed”, anything in a reasonable quantity is healthy, an excess of anything can turn toxic. So, let’s focus on the good that comes from having financial security and hopefully, change the way money is perceived. It is simply a tool that makes our lives easier and not something that demands our lives, hearts and souls.

Note: Make your standpoint clear and stick with it. Whether you are pro or against the topic, make your arguments clearly.
