Hint:To solve this problem one has to know about the vision range and limits of a human eye that means the human eye and brain can process only 10 to 12 separate images per second retaining an image for up to sixteenth of a second.

Complete answer:
We know that animation works by the use of an optical illusion. It presents a sequence of still images in a quick succession, the viewer of the show intercepts them as continuous images as it is moving. The following property of vision is used in cinematography.

Accommodation: is the process of a human eye in which the eyes see objects at different distances from each other and tries to maintain clear images of the subject by converging and diverging the light coming from them.

Persistence of vision: The image of any object is formed on the retina of the human eye, it does not fade away instantly that means the memory of that image does not fade away instantly from the retina. The image of any object seen to exist on the retina for 1/16 second, even after the withdrawal of the object. This echoing of the sensation of the eye for a fraction of time is called persistence of vision.

Note: Here one point needs to be noted that persistence of vision is tested to be positive when the human brain receives more than two images of the subject that are formed on the retina within a period one sixteenth of a second. Whereas, long sightedness and short sightedness are the fault of vision when the object is near or far away. Students should not confuse between these terms and always be aware of the difference between them.
