Lyophobic colloid
If the dispersed phase has very little or no affinity for the dispersion medium, the type of colloid is called a Lyophobic colloid.
Lyophilic colloid
If the dispersed phase has a good affinity for dispersion medium, the type of colloid is called a lyophilic colloid.
