Complete answer: The most important p[ublic place of Mohenjodaro seems to have been the great bath. The great bath comprising the tank which is situated in the citadel mound and it is a fine example of beautiful brickwork. It measures 11.88*7.01 m and 2.5 m deep. Flights of steps at either end lead to the surface. There are side rooms for changing clothes. Water was taken out from a large Well in an adjacent room and an outlet from the corner of the bath led to a drain. The great bath was used for ritual bathing which has been so important to any religious ceremony in India.
