Hint: Lymph is a colorless loose connective tissue that is liquid in nature. It is also known as interstitial fluid or tissue fluid because it contains fluid collected from the interstitial spaces between cells. The organs associated with lymph are known as lymph glands.

Complete answer:
Lymphoid organs are associated with the origin, maturation, and proliferation of lymphocytes ( a type of WBC). They also provide sites for antigen-antibody reactions. This is done by trapping the pathogens like bacteria, viruses, etc in the blood which are then destroyed by the lymphocytes present in those organs. There are 2 types of lymphoid organs on the basis of function.
-Primary lymphoid organs: It includes bone marrow and thymus where immature lymphocytes are developed into mature antigen-sensitive lymphocytes.
-Secondary lymphoid organs: It includes the spleen, lymph nodes, tonsils, etc and provides the site for interaction between the lymphocytes and antigen.
The main function of the lymph gland is forming WBCs and antibodies to destroy bacteria. It doesn’t involve the formation of RBC.

Additional Information: Red blood cells (erythrocytes) are the most abundant cells of the blood and they are formed by the red bone marrow which is present inside some large bones like the femur. This process of formation of erythrocytes is known as erythropoiesis. It is stimulated by the hormone erythropoietin which is secreted by the juxtaglomerular cells of the kidney.
RBC lives for a time period of 100-120 days after which they are destroyed by the spleen.
So, the correct option is ‘Forming RBC.’

Note: There are 2 types of white blood cells (leukocytes) on the basis of appearance called granulocytes and agranulocytes. Granulocytes include neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils. Agranulocytes include monocytes and lymphocytes.
The lymphoid tissue present in the lining of major tracts such as the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urogenital tract is known as MALT (Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue). It comprises 50% of the entire lymphoid tissue of the body.
