Hint:
In photosynthesis the energy rich compounds like carbohydrates are produced from inorganic compounds with the release of oxygen. It produces a high amount of organic matter to withstand life on this globe.

Complete answer:
The process in which plants, bacteria take the energy from sunlight for the production of sugar, which cellular respiration turns into ATP “the fuel used by living organisms” is called photosynthesis. It is the conversion of light energy into chemical energy with the help of chlorophyll.
Overall Reaction of Photosynthesis:
6CO2+12H2OC6H12O6+6O2+6H2O
Six carbon dioxide with twelve hydrogen molecules in the presence of chlorophyll and sunlight gives one molecule of glucose and six oxygen. The green plants maintain the constant concentration of gases by absorption of CO2 and release of oxygen. Chloroplast is the site of photosynthesis as it settles the CO2into carbohydrates.

Process of photosynthesis
Chlorophyll is the green pigment which is found in all the green plants. It absorbs the light of different colours like red, yellow and reflects back to our eyes as green. It contributes to photochemical reactions. It contains chlorophyll which is bluish-green. There are many chlorophyll pigments like chlorophyll b, c, d and e; carotenoids these are the accessory pigments which help in the absorption of energy. They absorb the light and transfer to the chlorophyll a.Carbon dioxide, water, chlorophyll are the most important elements required for the process of photosynthesis.
So, the correct answer is “Option A”.

Note:
There are two phases of photosynthesis: Light and Dark phase. In the light phase the energy from the sunlight is consumed and is changed into chemical energy stored in ATP and NADP + H+. In the dark phase carbohydrates are formed from carbon dioxide with the stored energy in the ATP and NADPH produced during light dependent reactions.
