Hint :Aerosol is defined as a system composed of small amounts of liquid or solid particles present in the large amount of gaseous phase. Aerosol is either a two-phase system made up of gas and liquid components or a three-phase system consisting of gas, liquid and solid together.

Complete Step By Step Answer:
(i)Fumes are described as the condensed form of water vapours. Fumes are generally produced by various methods like sublimation of liquid which convert liquid into gases vapours or distillation which purifies the liquid by using heating and cooling or during the process of boiling during which solvent is heated to convert into vapors.
All of these processes lead to formation of fumes which contain solid particles into gas.
(ii) Dust is described as the combination of solid particles in the gaseous state. Solid content of dust is introduced through various sources like domestic waste, industrial sources. Dust is also introduced by many natural processes like wind of dust, volcanic activity, extraction process of metals like crushing, grinding.
Hence, dust is composed of solid particles into gases.
(iii) Mist is described as the combination of liquid particles in the gaseous state. A liquid particle is introduced via many chemical reactions which evolve liquid as the product reaction. Combination of sulphur trioxide with atmosphere leads to formation of natural mist. Spray bottles are a very good example of mist.
Hence, mist is composed of liquid particles into gases.
(iv) Smoke is described as the combination of very small solid particles in the gaseous state. Solid particles introduced into gases during the combination of various organic matter. Smoke generated by oil, carbon, and tobacco are some examples.
From the above discussion we see that mist is a liquid form of aerosol.

Note :
Aerosol is used for the administration of various drugs into humans because it helps in releasing the drug at the desired site and in the desired amount. Aerosol comes under the category of colloidal preparation in which one phase is dispersed into another one.
