Complete Step by Step answer: Bangladesh shares the largest land border India. It covers an area of 1,43,998 sq km along with a coastline of 580 km. Bangladesh- India border is called the International border. It runs between India and Bangladesh and marks eight divisions of Indian states and Bangladesh.
Assam,Bangladesh, Myanmar, Mizoram and West Bengal of India share the border. Mymensingh, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet, and Chittagong of Bangladesh lie on this border. The Radcliffe line was used to mark the boundary between India and Bangladesh on 17th August 1947. It was named after the architect Sir Cyril Radcliffe who was the pillar of the Indo-Bangladesh partition.
The transportation from India to Bangladesh holds cultural, political as well as historical importance. The Kolkata Dhaka bus route began in 1999. In 2001 a bus service was started to connect Dhaka with Agartala. There are two passenger trains that run from Kolkata to Bangladesh known as Maitreyee and Bandhan express.
