India's national fruit is mango. Mango is the main crop in the Krishnagiri district, with a cultivation area of 300.17 km2. The district produces 300,000 tonnes annually and is the leading producer of mango in the Tamil Nadu Krishnagiri District. Almost 20% of the mango varieties produced in this district, such as 'Totapuri' and 'Alphonso', are processed into pulp. Tons of mangoes are processed into juice each year in this district, in addition to mango pulp production.

Approximately 25 sectors that process mangoes in this district. Krishnagiri also hosts Mango exhibitions every year in addition to manufacturing and export, which is unique in its kind in line with the annual exhibition held in New Delhi.
