Solution is basically composed by two components known by the name solute and solvent where solute and solvent both can also be solid, liquid or gas in nature.
Solute can be defined as a substance which is present in lower concentration or we can say which is present in lower amount in a solution whereas solvent is the substance which is present in higher concentration or present in higher amount in an solvent and both solute and solvent together make solution.
 We know that solution is a mixture of two or more substances and solute can also be defined as the substance which gets mixed and solvent in the substance in which solute gets mixed. Solute can also be explained with the help of an example of salt solution where we mix salt in water to make salt solution Here salt which gets mixed in water is known as the solute and water is solvent.
 Hence solute is the substance which gets mixed or which is present in lower a concentration or lower amounts in any solution.

Solute can be mixed in any solution up to some point after that we cannot mix more solute in that solution and that point is known as saturated point which can be increased to some extent by maintaining some pressure and temperature.
