Hint: LCM is a short form for the least common multiple of two or more numbers. There are various methods for finding the least common multiple of two given numbers. The simplest method to find the least common multiple is by prime factorization method.

Complete answer:
In the prime factorization method, we first represent the given two numbers as a product of their prime factors and then find the product of all the factors counting the common factors only once. LCM is an acronym for the least common multiple of multiple numbers that may or may not have a common divisor.

LCM is the smallest possible that is divisible by the given set of numbers. LCM can also be defined as the product of common factors with highest power and all other non-common factors in a mathematical way.

Least common multiple is always a positive integer and is always greater than all the individual numbers. In other words, the least common multiple is always greater than the greatest of those numbers whose LCM is to be found.

Note:Least common multiple (LCM) has wide ranging applications in real world as well as in mathematical questions. Knowledge of the least common multiple is also used in addition and subtraction of fractions.
