Hint: To find the value of $25\%$ of 250, first of all, we are going to eliminate this percentage symbol by dividing 25 by 100. After dividing by 100 we are going to multiply this division by 250 and hence, we will get the value of $25\%$ of 250.

Complete step by step solution:
In the above problem, we are asked to find the value of $25\%$ of 250. Now, writing this statement $25\%$ of 250 we are going to multiply $25\%$ by 250 and we get,
$\left( 25\% \right)\times 250$
To solve the above expression, we are required to eliminate this percentage $\left( \% \right)$ symbol which we do by dividing 25 by 100 in the above expression without disturbing the other elements of the above expression.
$\dfrac{25}{100}\times 250$
Now, one zero written in the numerator of the above fraction will get cancelled out with the one zero written in the denominator of the above expression and we get,
$\dfrac{25\times 25}{10}$
Multiplying 25 with 25 in the numerator of the above expression will give us:
$\begin{align}
  & \dfrac{625}{10} \\
 & =62.5 \\
\end{align}$
From the above, we got the simplification to $60\%$ of 160 as 62.5.

Note: In the above solution, you might see that in the expression $\dfrac{25}{100}\times 250$, we haven’t first divide 25 by 100 and then multiply the result of this division to 250 instead we do some arithmetic in this whole expression. The reason behind is that when we do the arithmetic in which the one zeros (one from 60 and other from 160) will get cancelled out with one zeros in the denominator and hence, will make the calculations easier.
Also, we have learnt a concept that to eliminate zeros in the denominator we will put the decimal in the numerator and the decimal will be put before that many numbers from the last number as the number of zeros present in the denominator. For e.g. in the above solution in simplifying $\dfrac{625}{10}$, in the denominator, only one zero is present so we have put the decimal before number 5.
