Hint: To find the value of $-169\div -13$ we will use division operator and also the division of negative number method. Firstly, as we know that when two minus terms are divided there minus sign gets cancelled out. Then we will simplify the numerator and denominator by dividing both of them by the same number till we get a real number which is our desired answer.

Complete step-by-step answer:
We have to solve $-169\div -13$ .
So we can write the above value as follows:
$\dfrac{-169}{-13}$
Now as we know if both numerator and denominator number have negative sign they get cancelled out so,
$\dfrac{169}{13}$
Now we will divide the numerator and denominator by 13 as below:
$\begin{align}
  & = \dfrac{\dfrac{169}{13}}{\dfrac{13}{13}} \\
 & = \dfrac{13}{1} \\
 & = 13 \\
\end{align}$
As we can see that we got a real number.
So we got the quotient as $1.9$
Hence $-169\div -13$ is 13

Note: It is a rule that when we divide two numbers with same sign we always get a positive value. If the two sign are different then we always get a negative value. This same rule is true for multiplication of two numbers. Other than that to divide two negative numbers the process is same as when we divide two positive numbers. Division is used to distribute a group of things into equal parts. It can be denoted by either of the two sign which are $/ ,\div $. There are three parts of a division method the Dividend, Divisor and the Quotient. The number that is to be divided is the dividend the number dividing the dividend is the divisor and the answer obtained is the quotient.
