Hint: Cells rely on garbage disposal systems to keep their interiors neat and tidy. If it weren’t for these systems, cells could look like microscopic junkyards — and worse, they might not function properly. The cells excrete waste through different ways:- garbage disposal, by lysosome, and others.

Complete answer:
As the humans excrete waste from the body through sweat, urine, faeces etc. The cells present within the body also have their metabolic waste and excretes it through many processes. The following process is:-
-Garbage Disposal: One of the cell’s excreta processors is known as the proteasome. It breaks down proteins, the building blocks and mini-machines that make up many essential cell components. The barrel-shaped proteasome disassembles damaged or unnecessary proteins, breaking them into small pieces that the cell can reuse to make new proteins. In this way, the proteasome acts as a recycling plant as it is a garbage disposal.

-Cellular Stomach: Proteins are not the only type of cellular waste. Cells also recycle organelles when they become old and worn out. For this task, they depend on a cell organelle called the lysosome. It contains acid and several types of digestive enzymes, lysosomes digest unneeded organelles. The lysosome also processes proteins, bacteria and other food which the cell has engulfed. An inability to make one of the lysosomal enzymes can lead to a rare, life-threatening sickness is also called a lysosomal storage disease. There are more forty different lysosomal storage diseases, depending on the kind of waste that’s unprocessed. These diseases affect many organs, including the brain, heart and bones. Lysosomes also gobble up viruses, an activity important to fighting infections

Note: Excretion is the process of removal of toxic substances. The cell also excretes waste by bringing the excreta to the cell membrane and then pushing the excreta out and closing the cell membrane, isolating the other components from the excreta. Excretion also maintains a steady chemical concentration in the cell.
