Hint Wastes are of different types like solid waste, liquid waste, industrial waste, commercial waste, etc. Out of this waste, some wastes are reusable, some non-reusable and some are biodegradable. Reusable waste can be used by recycling them which helps to reduce the pollution caused by them.

Under solid waste plastic, paper, cardboard, metals, and glass get recycled by melting or grinding, after that, it is molded in another form which makes it reusable. Plastic is also a good source of petrochemicals after recycling. Solid waste is a reusable waste by recycling them or by using them for a different purpose like bottles, jars and carry bags can be reused by making fancy planters, stationery boxes and many more, reusing bags given by market help to reduce plastic waste pollution.
Cardboard boxes can be reused for gifting purposes by packing gifts and by making fancy articles.

Some solid waste is non-reusable and non-recyclable if it gets damaged like low-density polyethene products. This waste is burned in the aerobic condition under optimum temperature and the smoke also gets burned and remains gas gets released which is taken to a wet scrubber for removing suspended particles and remaining ash are disposed of in landfills. Burning of waste takes place in an open area which is far from the residential area to prevent people from the harmful effects of gases. In the case of anaerobic disposal like pyrolysis of organic waste industrial gas gets yielded and the bulk of waste gets reduced.

Note: In 1999 an international treaty called Basal Convention was adopted to protect the workers from hazardous wastes. To increase product longevity for its reuse the EU Circular Economy Packages targeted the longevity of the material and ensured that the product will reach its optimum lifespan.
