Hint: A planet is an astronomical body made up of different materials like gases and other elements like rocks, metals, etc and they orbit around a star that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity. In our solar system, there are eight planets and they orbit around the sun.

Complete answer:The terrestrial planets in our solar system are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars while the giant planets are Jupiter and Saturn which are the gas giants, and Uranus and Neptune which are the ice giants. Earth is the fifth-largest planet having a radius of 6,371 km and Venus is the sixth largest planet having a radius of 6,051.8 km. Thus, making both the planets similar in size. Venus is similar to the Earth in its shape and size because of which Venus is known as ‘Earth’s twin’. Both of these planets have a similar surface composition and a similar atmosphere with a complex weather system. They also have the same mass i.e they weigh the same and are also neighboring planets. They also have their differences like Venus has an atmosphere that is 100 times thicker because of which it experiences an intense greenhouse effect and the temperature on the surface is more than 470 degrees celsius. There is no life or water on Venus and it rotates in the opposite direction to the Earth and other planets.

Note: Jupiter is the largest planet having a radius of 69,911 km and Mercury is the smallest planet having a radius of 2,439 km. Apart from Earth, there are 5 planets that are visible to the naked eye.
