Option D – Daob is an English word which was used mainly in South Asia for the word ‘tongue’ or tract of land which lies between two converging or confluent rivers as defined by McGregor. It is also defined as the land between two tributaries of a river such as Ganges and Yamuna which extends from the Shiwalik Hills to these two rivers at Allahabad. It is also known as Ganges-Yamuna Doab or Ganga Daob which has an area of about 23,360 square miles possessing a length of 500 miles and width of 60 miles.
