Hint: Perigee is the position when the moon is closest to Earth. So, when the moon is closest to earth there can be a full solar eclipse and also there can be partial solar eclipse possible depending on the position of moon and also depending on the position of the observer from which part of the earth he/ she is watching that solar eclipse.

Complete answer:
When the moon is at its perigee position this means that the moon is closest to the earth and hence it will seem to be bigger and can cover more part of the sun. This means that two types of solar eclipse are possible when the moon is at its perigee: one is a total solar eclipse and the other is a partial solar eclipse. Since the moon is closest to earth this means that it can either cover the sun fully and a total solar eclipse can occur or it can cover the moon partially and hence partial solar eclipse can also take place.

Hence, we can conclude that option (D) both A and B is the correct answer as both the types of solar eclipse are possible when the moon is at its perigee.

Note:
A solar eclipse takes place when the shadow of moon or moon blocks the rays of light coming from sun to earth. In a solar eclipse sunlight is blocked by the shadow of the moon and hence we see a ring type structure if there is a full eclipse or a small portion of sunlight if there is a partial eclipse. Annular Solar eclipse takes place when the moon is at the farthest position from earth which is known as apogee.
