Hint: Sambhaji Bhosale was the 2nd monarch of the Maratha Empire. He was the eldest son of Shivaji, the originator of the Maratha Empire, and his 1st wife Saibai. He was a descendant of the empire after his father's demise and governed it for 9 years. Sambhaji's decree was mostly formed by the unending conflicts between the Maratha Empire and Mughal Empire as well as other adjoining influences such as the Siddis, Mysore, and the Portuguese in Goa.

Complete Answer:
Sambhaji was wedded to Jivubai in a nuptial of a political association; per Maratha tradition, she took the name Yesubai. Dubai was the descendant of Pilajirao Shirke, who had amalgamated with Shivaji's service subsequent to the downfall of a dominant Deshmukh Rao Rana Suryajirao Surve who was his preceding benefactor. This nuptial thus gave Shivaji admittance to the Konkan coastal belt. Yesubai gave birth to a daughter christened Bhavani Bai and then to a son christened Shahu. Sambhaji's actions, counting suspected recklessness and dependence on physical desires, directed Shivaji to detain his son at Panhala fort in 1678 to control his actions.

Sambhaji disappeared from the fort with his wife and fled to the Mughals in December 1678 for a year, but then reverted home when he heard of a tactic by Dilir Khan, the Mughal viceroy of Deccan to capture him and send him to Delhi. Upon reverting home, Sambhaji was unapologetic and was put under observation at Panhala.

Thus, option (B) is correct.

Note:
Soon following Sambhaji's assent, he commenced his military crusades against adjoining states. Historians have been rapid to notice the difference between the more accepting and gallant fellows of his father Shivaji, and the more hard headed and ruthless followers of Sambhaji.
