Hint: Face values of the Indian Number system are given in order as: ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousand, lakhs, ten lakhs, crores ten crores and so on. Try to write the numeral in numeric form from the right-hand side of the number given in words in the problem.

Complete step-by-step answer:
First, we need to understand the concept of Indian system for writing numerals in words and digits:
Indian number system: The Indian numbering system is used in the Indian subcontinent to express a large number. Here, we write the numbers in digits from the starting but we decide the place values of digits i.e. at what place the digit is lying from the end digit of the given number.
The place value of digits from counting the last digits are given in order as ones, units place, Tens, Hundreds, Thousands, Ten Thousand, lakhs, Ten Lakhs, Crores, Ten Crores and so on.
Now, write the number given in words from the beginning taking care of the place value of the digits.
Now we are given the numeral in words as “Thirty-one crore fifty-five lakh thirty-two thousand eight hundred” and hence we need to write the number in the form of digits.
So, let us try to write the number in digits, as starting three words are given as “Thirty-one crore”, it means first two digits of the numeral would be 31, proceeding further, words “fifty-five lakh”, are given
Now we know the order of place value of the number that comes after lakh in the Indian number system. Hence, we need to put 55 to the adjacent 31(right side), So, we get numeral till now as 3155.Now, similarly, proceeding further, the terms “thirty-two thousands” are given, it means we need to put 32 to the right hand side of 3155 i.e. we get numeral as 315532.Proceeding further words “eight hundred” are given and no further terms after it. It means the digits at ones and tens place should be 0. As it is obvious that ‘0’ will lie to ones and tens place as it is not mentioned in the words form of numeral.
Hence, put 800 to the right side of the 315532.So, we get numeral as 31,55,32,800.
Hence, option (a) is correct

Note: Don’t count the place values of the number from the right-hand side of the number. Counting the place value will start from unit place only in both the systems. Don’t miss any place value of the digits in both the systems. The rule is for verification of the number in digit form.
Don’t confuse the last word written only as “eight hundred”. One may put only digit ‘8’ regarding this term and may give an answer as 3155328, which is wrong. 3155328 can be given in words as thirty-one lakhs fifty-five thousand three hundred twenty-eight, which is not the same as the given numeral in word. Use commas for distinguishing the place value.
