Complete answer:
The Vishnu Purana is one of the eighteen Mahapuranas written by Veda Vyasa in aspects of ancient and medieval texts of Hinduism. It describes the life of Lord Vishnu and his avatars and is an important Panchatantra text in Vaishnavism literature. The Vishnu Purana is relatively shorter than other Purana texts, and has 7,000 verses in extant versions. It also praises Brahma and Shiva and elaborates on how they are dependent on Vishnu.
The text has six aṃśas (parts) and 126 adhyāyas (chapters). The first part consists of 22 chapters, the second part has 16 chapters, the third part comprises 18 chapters and the fourth part has 24 chapters. The fifth and the sixth parts are the longest and the shortest part of the text, with 38 and 8 chapters respectively. Introduction of the Mauryan dynasty was described in the text after the end of Kshatriya rule. This happens when a Kshathriya king named Maha Nandi marries a woman of the lower cast and forms a new dynasty in acceptance of the merger of different castes.

Nanda will eventually kill many other kshatriya Kings similar to Parasu Rama who killed the Kshatriyas. Nanda. ( Maha Padma) and his eight sons will eradicate all the Kshatriya Kings and rule for about one hundred years. They will be later killed by Chandra Gupta, a true Maurya, with the help of an accomplice Brahmin, known as Chanakya, aka Vishnu Gupta, Kautilya and Vatsyayan.
