-Average size of generally occurring prokaryotes ranges from 0.1 to 5.0 micrometers.
-Tail like structure is present called as flagellum which helps in locomotion.
-Examples of prokaryotic cells are blue-green algae, E. coli, and mycoplasma.
Eukaryotes-
-They are somewhat bigger in size as compared to prokaryotes. They consist of the membrane bound organelles like well-developed nucleus, mitochondria, etc. these organelles perform various functions in the cell from simple to complex.
-Capable of reproduction and reproduction takes places from mitosis or meiosis process.
-Some examples of single cell organisms are fungi like yeast, other examples are saccharomyces cerevisiae which is used in baking industries.
