The increase in the water temperature causes the evaporation rate to increase and for a time, net evaporation occurs. But, with the increased evaporation, more water molecules exist in the air above the water, which in turn increases the condensation rate. The condensation rate again increases until it equals the evaporation rate, and a new equilibrium is achieved.
As temperature increases, and as long as the passive film remains intact, corrosion rate does not increase. But once the passive film is overwhelmed by the increase in the temperature, corrosion rate increases rapidly.

The elementary equation from the basic thermodynamics that states the rate of heat transfer which is denoted by Q, and is equals to the mass flow rate which is denoted by M times a constant (which is also known as the specific heat of water) times the delta T.
