> The pituitary gland is a gland present underneath the brain in a hollow cavity called as Sella turcica. It is also called a master gland. It is a small spherical gland which has two parts anterior pituitary and posterior pituitary. The whole functioning or activity of the pituitary gland is controlled by hypothalamus.
