It has a thickness of 2,900 kilometres (1,800 mi), which makes up about 84 percent of the volume of the Earth. It is mainly solid, but functions like a viscous fluid in geological time.

D. Asthenosphere :-The asthenosphere is the denser, weaker layer beneath the lithospheric mantle. It lies between 62 miles (about 100 kilometres) and 255 miles (410 kilometres) below the surface of the Earth. The asthenosphere's temperature and pressure are so high that rocks soften and partially melt, becoming semi-molten.
