Hint: The Seikan Rail is located in a Western European country. This country is the seventh-largest country in terms of area. It is passing through the underwater seabed portion of Tsugaru Strait.

Complete answer: Seikan rail is the largest dual gauge underwater tunnel located in Japan. The geo surveying began in 1946 and construction started in 1971. The tunnel construction was completed and opened in 1988. Out of the total length 53.85 km of Seikan rail, 23.3 km long portion is under water. Thus, it is the world’s longest undersea tunnel. It is also the second-longest main-line railway tunnel as well as the second deepest tunnel in the world.
The Seikan tunnel starts from Honshu island and ends at the Hokkaido island. Seikan railway is currently operating under the authority of Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency (JRTT). Per day, nearly 50 trains travel through the tunnel.

Since Japan is exclusively the location of the Seikan Rail, option (A), option (B) and option (C) are incorrect and thus the option (D) is correct.

Note: For the purpose of tunnel construction, approximately 2,900 tons of explosives and 168,000 tons of steel were used. The traditional mountain tunnelling technique was applied for making tunnels in the regions of dry land. To construct the undersea part of the tunnel, three bores were dug, including an initial pilot tunnel, a service tunnel and the main tunnel.
