Along with this formation of the acrosome, condensation and elongation of the nucleus, flagellum development and loss of unnecessary substances of the cytoplasm and its organelles takes place. We know that the hypothalamus, pituitary and testes interact to regulate male reproduction. The hypothalamus secretes gonadotropin-releasing hormone i.e. GnRH. The interstitial cells that are present between seminiferous tubules in the testes get stimulated by LH. They then produce the male sex organ or androgen. Now, FSH is the one that stimulates the Sertoli cells, for the secretion of ABP i.e. androgen binding protein plus the other molecules that are necessary for the completion of spermatogenesis. The work of ABP cells is to bind to testosterone and concentrate it in the tubules.
