Hint: We should note that to give the reaction with the silver nitrate and obtain the white ppt. the addition of the colourless silver nitrate to the hydrochloric acid in the presence of nitric acid leads to the desired product.

Complete step by step solution:
As here we need to give the reaction with the silver nitrate such that the product so obtained should have the white precipitate what comes to our mind on white precipitate is the chloride ion test so in this test basically the addition of the colourless silver nitrate to the hydrochloric acid results in the formation of the silver chloride which is turn the white precipitate. This is one of the common tests to check the presence of the chloride ions. The reaction is further expressed through the reaction:
 AgNO3+HCl+HNO3AgCl+HNO3
Moreover the reagent added to enhance the reaction is nitric acid. The precipitate so obtained is the white crystalline solid which is further known to get dissolved in the water. we can further say that the silver chloride formed gets precipitated out immediately. Further it is important to note here that the silver chloride does not react with the nitric acid.
Hence, from this we concluded that the correct option for the above question is option B.

Note:
We should note that the silver chloride is a common reference electrode in electrochemistry.it has been further used as an antidote against the mercury poisoning. Further it is used in making the photographic paper.
