Hint: SGPC is a management committee responsible for overlooking the smooth operations and welfare of all the Gurdwaras and sikh places of worship in the states of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Complete answer:
SGPC was formed on 15th November, 1920. It is the management committee of the Sikh Gurdwaras.
In 1920 the emerging Akali leadership summoned a general assembly of the Sikhs holding all shades of opinion on 15 November 1920 around the Akal Takht in Amritsar.
This assembly was created with the purpose of electing a representative committee of the Sikhs to administer the Harmandir Sahib Complex and other important historical gurdwaras. But only two days before the proposed conference the British government had set up its own committee consisting of thirty six Sikhs to manage the Harmandir Sahib.
The Sikhs held their scheduled meeting and elected an even bigger committee consisting of one hundred and seventy five members and named it the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
The Committee provided an important focal point for the reformation of Sikh religious locations. It began to take over management of gurdwaras one by one, and were resisted by incumbent mahants.

Master Tara Singh was one of the 175 members elected to this Committee who edited a Sikh newspaper and played a huge role in spreading the awareness among sikh masses regarding the struggles they were facing to bring about the reforms.

The correct answer is option B, SGPC -Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.

Note:The headquarters of SGPC are located in Teja Singh Samundri Hall, Sri Harmandir Sahib Complex, Sri Amritsar. In September, 2004 Bibi Jagir Kaur became the first woman to be elected president of the SGPC for the second time.
