Hint: Taxonomy is the branch of biology that deals the all living things, and all of them are classified by the thing called taxonomic hierarchy and it was developed by the Sweden botanist, Carolus Linnaeus, and this classification, generally contains the eight ranks.

Complete answer:
Taxonomic hierarchy: Taxon is nothing but the group of people and they can be classified into different things and they include the followings:
> Domain: Domain is the highest rank of classification, it was not used initially as it was not invented by the Linnaeus and later it was added to the classification.

> Kingdom: Before the introduction of a domain, the kingdom is considered as the highest rank, some of the examples of the kingdom are Animalia, Plantae, etc.

> Phylum: It is next rank in the taxonomic classification after the kingdom and this is more specific than the kingdom, for example, the kingdom, Animalia, includes 35 phyla.

> Class: It is the general thing in the taxonomic classification because previously there was no phyla and the animal kingdom consisted of 108 different classes.

> Order: It is more specific than the class, still today the Linnaeus orders are used, and depending on how the organisms are classified, there are 19 to 26 orders of mammals.

> Family: It is in turn more specific, for example, the Carnivora contains the families of canide, felide and there are a total of 12 families in the order Carnivora.

> Genus: It is more specific than the family, in the binomial nomenclature, the scientific name has 2 parts and the first part of the scientific name represents the genus for example Homo Sapiens, where Homo represents the genus.
> Species: In the scientific name, the second part represents the species. Sometimes species also divide into subspecies but not all time.

Hence, The correct answer is option (B).

Note: Hierarchy of categories, it is the arrangement of sequence of organisms, in the descending order kingdom is the first and species is last, and in ascending order it is vice versa, this hierarchy includes seven obligate categories.
