Complete answer:Tangoreceptors are sense organs for touch, pressure, pain, heat or cold. They are located on the skin, so also termed as cutaneous receptors. They are a type of Mechanoreceptors. These are located near the afferent neurons and receive the neurotransmitters. The neurotransmitters generate nerve impulse carried to the cerebrum and cerebrum to interpret information beacuse parietal lobe of cerebrum has area of touch. These include various receptors that are as follows:
Merkel's discs (corpuscles): it is found in the epidermis of non-hairy (glabrous) skin, shallow cup-shaped discs.
Meissner's corpuscles: It is present in the dermis of skin of finger tip, lips and nipples. Senses of touch and gentle pressure.
Pacinian corpuscles: Present in the subcutaneous tissue of palm, soles of feet, etc., stimulated by pressure contact.
Corpuscles of Golgi: Present in the subcutaneous tissue of fingers.
Corpuscles of Mazzoni: Found in the subcutaneous Tissues of fingers.
Grandy's corpuscles: Present in the beak of birds.
Herbst corpuscles: Reported from the mouthparts of birds.
