Hint: In the above type of question we need to make use of the number line to solve the given equation for this we will first mark the two terms mentioned in the number line then we are going to solve the equation and mark the third equivalence point.

Complete step by step solution:
In the above mentioned question when we need to find the solution to the equation through a number line for this we are going to use the terms mentioned in the question.
To make the number line we will use a straight line which will have numbers mentioned on it like -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, and so on.
We can see that the number that has been mentioned is negative, i.e. -2 and -(7). We have a negative sign in front of the bracket and 7 is inside the bracket. Now, we know that when we multiply negative and positive numbers, we get a negative number. Using this, we can express -(7) as -7.
So, now we have -2-7.
Let us consider a to be the length of line from origin to the point -2 on the number line.
Since we have a subtraction operation, we have to move 7 places towards the left of the point -2.
Let us denote b as the distance from the origin to the point where we reach.
After we move 7 places towards the left, we land at point -9.
So the final value on the number line will be -9 and we can show it in this form:

Note: In the above type of question when we are asked to form a number line with respect to the equation we often make mistakes while solving the equation like in this while opening the brackets there might be more than one brackets in the question so remember to open the brackets correctly. Verifying answers is also necessary. So, we can just use addition, subtraction rules for integers and find the result as -2-7=-9.
