Nishad, also known as Seven, and Maya are siblings who like to play the job of detectives. They have a neighbour, Mr. Nath, whom Maya strongly believes to be a crook or criminal. She is convinced that he has stolen riches and gold hidden in his trunk with which he pays for his living. The scar on his face and his isolation from the remaining people in the building of his residence further arouses suspicion in Maya regarding his criminal nature.

Nishad, on the other hand, does not share the same opinion as Maya. He feels that Mr. Nath is a poor man who might not have enough to eat. He is very skinny and he did not work anywhere to earn a living.
Maya’s constant suspicions and allegations about Mr. Nath being a crook disturbed him as to him, Mr. Nath appeared very polite.

In order to find out whether he was really a crook or not, both Maya and Nishad started to gather information about Mr. Nath’s life and his daily habits. One of the important pieces of information which they got from Ramesh was how Mr. Nath had a very ordinary meal two times a day. However, on Sunday, Ramesh carried two lunches to his house. It was because he had the same visitor each Sunday - a tall, well-built, fair-skinned and bespectacled man.
