Hint: For a body at some point the total clockwise moment is equal to the total anticlockwise moment when it is in equilibrium. Then in such a condition the body is said to be balanced according to the principle of moments. Thus the moment is also said to be the turning effect of force. Because here the forces are balanced.

Moment, $M=Force\times \bot dis\tan ce$
$\Rightarrow M=F\times d$
