Complete answer: FORMATION OF SIMON COMMISSION
The British Government in the United Kingdom formed a Simon Commission which was formed for the constitutional reforms in India. No Indian was part of the commission and this resulted in outrage against British India as there were huge demonstrations and strikes in different cities of India wherever the chairman of the commission, Simon visited. This led to the idea of Civil Disobedience Movement.

THE SALT SATYAGRAHA
The Civil Disobedience Movement was launched under the leadership of Gandhiji. It began with the famous Dandi March where The Salt Satyagraha was initiated by Mahatma Gandhi against the salt tax imposed by the British government in India. Gandhi led a large group of people from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, a coastal village in Gujarat on 12th March 1930, to break the salt law by producing salt from seawater.
The movement remarked the beginning of the Civil Disobedience Movement.

Note: This was the nationwide movement with rural and urban participants. Non-violence was the motto of this movement. The women participated in large numbers and despite the British attempted to crush the revolt, the movement did not turn back.
