Hint:Squamous epithelium is a type of epithelial tissue. It is made of a single thin layer of flattened cells with irregular boundaries.

Complete answer:
Squamous Epithelium: It consists of a single thin layer of flattened cells with irregular boundaries. The cells are closely fitted like the tiles in a floor. Hence, it is also known as pavement epithelium. If we see the cells from the surface, they seem to be polygonal in shape. The nuclei of their cells are flat and lie at the centre of the cells.
>Location : This epithelium occurs in the walls of blood vessels, air sacs (alveoli) of the lungs, lymph vessels, wall of Bowman's capsule, loops of Henle of the nephrons of the kidneys, coelomic cavities etc.
>Function: Filtration in Bowman's capsule; Exchange of materials between blood capillaries and tissue fluid; Exchange of gases.

Columnar epithelium: It consists of a single layer of tall and slender cells, lying on a basement membrane. The nuclei are somewhat elongated along the long axis of the cells. Nuclei lie near the bases of the cells.Free surface may be smooth or bear microvilli for increasing the absorptive surface area.
Some cells of this epithelium produce mucus and are called goblet cells. The epithelium containing mucus secreting cells, along with underlying supporting connective tissue is called mucosa or mucous membrane.
>Location : It is found in the lining of the stomach and intestine.
>Function : Absorption and Secretion.

Germinal epithelium: It is a layer of cells covering the ovary in females and covering testicles in males. It is the primary tissue layer which is formed during embryogenesis.

Sensory epithelium: This type of tissue has sensory cells within it, which acts as transducers, converting outside signals into electric form to be understood by the neural system. For example: In the nose,it has olfactory neurons ; in the ear it has auditory hair cells, etc.

Hence the correct answer is option ‘C’.

Note:In actual there is two groups of epithelium:
>Simple epithelium: It is further divided into Squamous, cuboidal, columnar, ciliated, pseudostratified and glandular epithelium.
>Compound epithelium: It is of two types Stratified and transitional epithelium.
