Hint: DNA fingerprinting is a technique used to determine the pattern of the repetitive DNA sequence which does not code for any protein but it forms the major part of the genome.

Complete answer:
1.The DNA fingerprinting is used to identify or compare the DNA of two individuals because each individual have a unique DNA sequence
2.DNA fingerprinting involves six steps, the first is the isolation of DNA where the sample DNA is isolated from blood, semen, spit, etc
3.After isolation of DNA the DNA is digested by restriction endonuclease which means the DNA is cut at specific sites with the help of enzymes known as restrictions endonucleases.
4.After digestion of DNA, the fragments of DNA are separated by electrophoresis in which the DNA fragments present on the gel are separated by an electric field.
5.After electrophoresis, the separated DNA fragments are transferred to nylon or a nitrocellulose membrane.
6.Then the transferred DNA fragments are hybridized using radioactive DNA fragments (radioactive probe).
7.Lastly, the DNA fragments are identified using X-ray film which is known as autoradiography.

Option A: So the sequence of different steps in DNA fingerprinting is C-A-E-B-D. Therefore, this is the correct option.

All other options are irrelevant.

Hence, the correct answer is option (A)

Note: DNA fingerprinting can be used to identify the criminals by comparing the DNA sequence of different suspects and can also be used in various plant and animal studies. The DNA fingerprinting was developed by Alec Jeffreys in 1983. The DNA fingerprinting technique was first used to solve the murder case of two peoples in Narborough.
